Basic items students will need along the way.

All students have certain basic items they need to have a productive lesson and positive musical experience. 

Acoustic guitar students will need an appropriate size instrument that is in playable condition and heavy guage picks.  The more difficult the instrument is to play, tune and finger the less the chances of success.

 

Guitar Students

  • guitar
  • carry bag or case
  • cable (electric guitar)
  • amplifier for home practice (electric guitar)
  • picks

Other items required along the way in order of importance;
  • Manuscript Book
  • Music Stand
  • Tuner
  • Capo (acoustic guitar)
  • Guitar Stand (the instrument gets played more when it is accessible)
  • New Strings
  • Metronome
    The instructor will suggest items as needed.
